Windows Mobile: Status / Known Issues

A few months ago my Windows Mobile developer left unexpectedly, leaving us with an unfinished BPEnabler. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find another WinMo programmer who is willing to pick up this project.

As a last-ditch effort, I've booted up the PC and started getting acquainted with Microsoft Visual Studio. Once BPE 2.1 is released, I will see if I can fix these issues myself.

In the meantime, please be aware of the following issues:

- CAB won't install on 2003 2nd Ed.
- BPEnabler prevents phone from opening data connection
- "Lost connection" dialog blocks reconnection
- Message app opens at initial phone launch
- Reading messages takes way too long (or times out) on phones with large numbers of SMS
- Sent SMS show own number instead of recipient's number
- Saving SMS mis-calculates time zone

Update: these issues have been fixed in BPEnabler 1.01 (included with BPE 2.1.3).
